Oracle Managed File Transfer [MFT] installation

Prerequisites

The following software must be installed on the machine
  • Certified JDK must be installed
  • SOA 12c [in my experiment used 12.1.3.0.0]

Download the Oracle MFT software from OTN or e-delivery.oracle.com
  • fmw_12.1.3.0.0_mft.jar
Installing MFT in silent mode

Sample silent mode response file: mft_install.rsp
[ENGINE]

#DO NOT CHANGE THIS.
Response File Version=1.0.0.0.0

[GENERIC]

#The oracle home location. This can be an existing Oracle Home or a new Oracle Home
ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/SOA12c

Generally I do follow that define the environment variables such as JAVA_HOME, MW_HOME, ORACLE_HOME in the .bashrc or .bash_profile scripts, which makes life easy!

Feature readings
  • Create repository for MFT
  • Extending SOA domain with MFT Clustered domain
  • Validating the MFT working
